Project

Everyone cherishes their childhood abundantly. In the present scenario, childhood is not as colourful and bright as in the past. It’s hard to learn that the little butterflies are no more safe even in their garden. Every day we are shocked to hear the sad stories of innocent children being abused. It’s high time we have to raise our voice against this social evil. It is in this context that Jenika Foundation has realised the need for a mass drive against this social menace. A united deliberate responsible effort from all stakeholders including parents, teachers, children and society as a whole is the need of the hour. As a pioneer step we have identified a few government schools in coastal areas of Ernakulam District of Kerala state which are socially and economically backward. Jenika charity Foundation along with District Legal Service Authority has launched the project entitled “Chushana rehitha balyam” (A Responsible campaign against Child Sexual Abuse) in all these schools. The project envisages to give awareness regarding child abuses and to support children, parents and teachers. Ever since its inception, Jenika charity Foundation has always been in the forefront to eradicate child abuse in its various forms by empowering parents, teachers and the society at large.

Awareness class conducted in Govt. L.P School, Walayar. Students and Parents attended the class and the response from them was incredible.
